BMW Swiss PGA Matchplay 2017

Based on the Swiss PGA ASGI Order of Merit, the highest ranked 16 men, 6 seniors and 4 ladies will compete for this years' matchplay champions title. The championship event takes place on 19-20 September 2017 at the Ostschweizerischen Golfclub in Niederbüren. The challenging golf course offers first class conditions for high-class golf tournaments and exciting competitions.

The Matchplay Championship has been supported for years by BMW Switzerland as the title sponsor. The prize money for the tournament is around CHF 20,000. In the annual list of the Swiss PGA most highly rated players and players are fighting for the championship titles in the categories Men, Seniors and Ladies.

After his solid performance at the OMEGA European Masters last weekend, Luca Galliano is a strong title candidate in the men's categorie. However, he will be challenge by experienced tour players like Raphael de Sousa, Andrea Gurini and Mathias Eggenberger. After her victroy at the Swiss PGA Championship 2017, Caroline Rominger will go for the double. The defending Seniors' champion Franco Li Puma leads the Seniors' field.

The Matchplay format offers an exciting golfing experience. Each two players play in the direct match hole for hole against each other. The championship titles are chosen over the eighth, quarter, semi, and finals. The eighth and quarter-finals will be held on Tuesday 19th September and the semi-final and final round on Wednesday 20th September. All starting times will be published on the Swiss PGA website.
