Players Corner
21.04.2020

The following is an overview (as of 20.4.2020).

The first tournaments on the LPGA Tour were cancelled in mid-February, and since then Albane Valenzuela has also been on a "forced break". Until the end of May all events in the calendar are either postponed or cancelled completely. If all goes well, tournaments will resume on 11 June with the Meijer LPGA Classic in Grand Rapids (Michigan).

The European Tour has either postponed or cancelled all tournaments on the calendar until the end of July. The only exception is the US Open International Qualifyer on 8 June in England. The next regular European tournament on the calendar is currently the British Masters (30 July to 2 August).

The Challenge Tour will be suspended until mid-July; most of the tournaments planned until then have been cancelled, a few postponed. The second European level tournament will start on July 16th with the Euram Bank Open in GC Adamstal, Lower Austria.

For the Ü50 professionals on the Staysure Tour, play will be suspended until at least mid-June. Currently, the European Links Legends Championship (19-21 June) is the next tournament on the calendar.

Tournaments on the Alps Tour are postponed or cancelled until the beginning of June; from 12 June onwards there is a provisional calendar, but the tournaments have yet to be confirmed. If all goes well, tournaments will resume on 12 June with the Open de la Mirabelle d'Or in Metz (France).

The Pro Golf Tour has postponed the tournaments in North Africa, which were not played in March and April, and the Haugschlag Niederösterreich Open from the end of March to a later date. The first tournament on the calendar after the Corona break is (still) the EXTEC Trophy in the Czech Republic (15 to 17 May).

The corona break is certainly long on the Ladies European Tour, on which tournament operations have been suspended since mid-March. Play is scheduled to resume with the Mediterranean Ladies Open (16 to 19 July) in Spain.

The LET Access Series will continue three weeks earlier. The Belgian Ladies Open is scheduled for 25 June.

The Symetra Tour also takes a break until mid-June. The Island Resort Championship is scheduled for June 19 in Michigan.
