FED Day with Lee Cox News

For Swiss PGA members, the beginning of the summer was marked by two Swiss PGA Tour tournaments, one at Links Leuk Golfresort and the other at Golfclub Markgräflerland. The month of August brought two Further Education Days organised by the association.

The first FED Day took place at the Golfpark Oberkirch with the presence of Lee Cox. This internationally recognised coach, a specialist in Long Driving, led a workshop dedicated to his speciality. More than 25 members of the Swiss PGA were able to benefit from Lee Cox's expertise and try out various exercises specific to Long Driving approved by the world renowned coach. 'Gaining Clubhead speed is about understanding some key concepts, and then applying these through drills in a consistent manner, which will guarantee increase in speed and distance. It was an honour to visit and engage with the Swiss PGA Professionals, who were a fantastic passionate audience' Lee Cox, World Long Driving Specialist Coach.

The feedback from the participants was unanimous: they all learned a lot. 'This was an incredible day. I'm leaving armed with some great concepts and drills that I can work with my club members this week so that they can hit the ball 10 to 20 meters further instantly with 1 or 2 small adjustments!' said Galvin Luznyj, Advanced Swiss PGA Professional, GC Engelberg.

The Professionals are already looking forward to applying the valuable advice received, in their club, during their lessons and training sessions with players of all levels and backgrounds. 'This was great and critical information that will allow me to help the Elite Juniors and the Club Players I coach hit the ball stronger, further and more solid.' rejoices Richard Swords, Advanced Swiss PGA Professional, GC Basel. 'Thanks to the Swiss PGA for bringing such expertise to Switzerland'.

Jonathan Wallett, Swiss PGA Responsible for internal Further Education, was also very pleased with the workshop and to have been able to offer this unique opportunity to Swiss PGA members. 'Every golfer would love more distance. It was great to have Lee Cox from the UK, the world's leading authority for long driving and gaining speed, visit Switzerland and pass on his long driving secrets to the Swiss PGA Professionals.'

The next FED Day will be dedicated to another critical aspect of the game: putting. On this occasion, the Swiss PGA will be pleased to welcome Mike Kanski, Head Instructor at Phil Kenyon Putting and current National Putting Coach of the British Elite Boys, Ladies and Girls teams.
