Swiss PGA BMW Matchplay Championship 2018

This year's Swiss PGA BMW Matchplay Championship will take place on September 25-26 at Golf Emmental in Oberburg. The demanding golf course offers first-class conditions for high-level golf tournaments and exciting competitions.

The prize money for the tournament is around CHF 20,000. The highest rated players in the annual ranking of the Swiss PGA compete for the championship titles in the categories Men, Seniors and Ladies.

Matchplay Champions 2017: Boris Lah (Seniors), Caroline Rominger (Ladies) and Raphael de Sousa (Men)

At the start are all defending champions from last year: Raphael de Sousa (Men), Caroline Rominger (Ladies) and Boris Lah (Seniors). The field of challenger in the men is strong, including the internationally experienced tour players André Bossert, Marc Dobias, Jean-Luc Burnier and Clara Pietri as well as the leading players of the Swiss PGA Tour.

The matchplay game form also offers interested spectators an exciting golfing experience. Two players each play in direct comparison hole by hole against each other. The championship titles are selected by eighth, quarter, half and final. The eighth and quarter-finals will be held on Tuesday 25th September and the semi-final and final rounds will be held on Wednesday 26th September. The exact tee times will be published on the Swiss PGA website.
