Mandatory for 1st year Apprentices.

Registration must be done via the Y+S coach at the golf club. If there is no J+S coach, please contact Marcel Meier or the Swiss PGA office

 

Objective

J+S monitors are able to plan and carry out J+S activities that develop the personality, sporting performance and health of children and young people in the long term.

Qualification

The monitor has completed the course and fulfilled the minimum exit requirements in the areas of ‘Commitment as a leader’, ‘Understanding the sport’ and ‘Teaching the sport’.

Recognition

Successful completion of the course leads to the following recognition: J+S monitor in golf for young people.

General admission requirements

In accordance with Art. 21 of the DDPS Ordinance on Sports Promotion Programmes and Projects (VSpoFöP). Minimum age: 17 years of age in the calendar year of the course. Nationality: Swiss, Liechtenstein or foreign nationals residing in Switzerland. (Foreign nationals not resident in Switzerland are eligible if they work regularly for an organiser of J+S programmes or cadre training programmes). The recommendation is made by the responsible J+S coach.

Specific admission requirements

Active experience in the sport. Willingness to provide regular training. Handicap 18.4 or active role as Swiss Golf Junior Captain.

Authorisation to participate

In accordance with Art. 20-24 and Appendix 3 of the BASPO Ordinance on Youth and Sport.

Continuing education requirement

J+S monitor are subject to the continuing education requirement in accordance with Art. 28 of the VSpoFöP.
