Albane Valenzuela and Joel Girrbach both achieved great results over the weekend of February 22/23, finishing tied for 20th place on their respective tours. With these performances, both showed their good form and started the 2025 season on a positive note.
Albane Valenzuela – Good Performance at the Honda LPGA Thailand
The Swiss golfer, who had already finished 13th at the Founders Cup, kept up her strong play at the Honda LPGA Thailand. She shot rounds of 73, 66, 68, and 70 (total -11), earning valuable points for the Order of Merit. This result helps her maintain her position as the fifth-best European on tour. Valenzuela is currently ranked 28th and heads into the next tournament, the HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore, with confidence.
Joel Girrbach – Solid Performance at the Magical Kenya Open
Joel Girrbach also had a strong performance at the Magical Kenya Open on the DP World Tour. Despite a tougher third round (+5), the golfer from Thurgau finished with a total score of -7 and two rounds of 65, securing a tie for 20th place. This result showed his ability to score well at the highest level. Girrbach is currently ranked 63rd in the Order of Merit and is working hard to stay within the top 110 players who will keep their tour cards for 2026.
