Swiss PGA member Chiara Tamburlini has taken an important step in her professional career, securing her LPGA Tour card for the 2026 season at the Final Qualifying in Mobile, Alabama. The 26-year-old from St. Gallen delivered a poised and consistent performance across four challenging rounds at Magnolia Grove, finishing at 279 strokes (-7) and claiming a share of 15th place – well inside the top 25 required for full LPGA status.
Composure in difficult conditions
What was meant to be a five-round marathon turned into a weather-plagued sprint. Heavy rain, delays and even frozen ground forced officials to shorten the Q-Series to 72 holes. Despite the chaos, Tamburlini remained impressively steady, posting 71, 70 and 70 in her first three rounds to keep herself comfortably in the qualification zone throughout the week.
A strong finish to seal the deal
With the pressure at its peak, Tamburlini produced one of the best final rounds of the day: a 68 (-4) on the Crossings Course. Her composed play and smart course management earned her a two-shot cushion above the qualification line of -5, confirming her promotion to the world’s leading women’s tour.
