Luca Galliano Triumphs on the Alps Tour: A Long-Awaited Victory After 18 Years

Egypt, February 21, 2025 – Swiss PGA member Luca Galliano has finally claimed his first title on the Alps Tour, delivering a remarkable performance at the Ein Bay Open. Nearly two decades after his debut on the tour in 2007, the 39-year-old from Ticino secured the long-anticipated victory. With rounds of 65, 68, and 70, Galliano finished the tournament at 13 under par, edging out his competitors by a single stroke.

Galliano, whose career had been defined by nine top-3 finishes, triumphed in a thrilling final round against Ireland's Ronan Mullarney and Spain's Mario Galiano Aguilar, both of whom ended the event just one shot behind. The victory at the Ein Bay Open not only marks Galliano's first win on the Alps Tour but also signals a strong start to the 2025 season, as he now leads the Order of Merit.

After his emotional victory, Galliano reflected on the journey that led to this moment: "I’m absolutely thrilled right now and a bit emotional. I played really well across all three days, and I owe a huge thanks to my coaches for their work this winter. They’ve supported me immensely, both technically and mentally," he said.

Looking ahead, Galliano is eager to continue his success. He will be back in action next week, with the next Alps Tour event set to take place in Cairo starting February 25.
