Swiss PGA Spring Education Days

News

20. March 2025

This years Swiss PGA Education Spring Days were held at Golfpark Moossee on March 19th and 20th. The apprentices from three different academic years, enjoyed a tailored two-day program aimed at deepening their understanding of golf, sharpening their teaching skills, and supporting their professional growth.

The first-year apprentices explored essential golfing concepts such as the technical model, golf terminology, and ball flight laws, engaging in both theoretical discussions and practical exercises. They also took time to reflect on personal development and identify credible resources.

For the second-year apprentices, the sessions delved deeper into practical areas, including organizing and running golf tournaments, managing on-course lessons, and learning video analysis techniques. They studied the interactions between different golf skills, their causes and effects, and received training on coaching golfers with physical limitations or disabilities.

Third-year apprentices engaged in reviews of their coaching practices, focusing on real-world coaching interventions, and revisiting critical concepts such as ball flight laws, golf principles, and personalized coaching strategies. They also reviewed their standings in the ongoing organisation of the Apprentice Championships and received support for their upcoming final exams in October 2025.

The Education Days offered exciting lecture sessions led by the Swiss PGA Training commission, creating an inspiring and learning environment for everyone involved. The Swiss PGA would like to thank all the apprentices and lecturers for their active participation and commitment. We would also like to thank Golfpark Moossee and the restaurant for organising and providing the infrastructure for these two days.
