On Monday, the Swiss PGA Tour visited the sun-drenched Valais region. Despite a foggy start, the tournament at Golf Club Sierre evolved into an exciting battle among the 36 participating professionals – culminating in a shared first place.
The best round of the day was achieved by two players: Sven Cremer and James Johnson each carded a strong 67 (-5). Both benefited from solid long games and precise putting on the immaculate greens of the well-maintained par-72 course. The shared daily victory underscores their current form and hints at further top performances this season.
Close Pursuit Group with Ambitions
Just two shots behind, Aleksandar Radoicic and Gregori Baumann followed with 69 strokes (-3), tied for third place. Both showed consistent performance over 18 holes and stayed close to the leading duo.
The field remained tightly packed throughout: Pierrick Peracino and Sasha Wortelboer returned to the clubhouse with solid 70s (-2), sharing fifth place. Antoine Lutin stayed under par with a 71 (-1), completing the top third of the leaderboard in seventh place. Justin Brink secured eighth place with even par (72), while Leo Andeer and Jean-Luc Burnier shared ninth place with scores of 73 (+1) each.
From Fog to Wind Challenge
The tournament day started with challenging visibility and light drizzle, making early tee times a mental test. However, by noon, the sky cleared – accompanied by refreshing winds that added an extra layer of complexity. Overall, the course was in excellent condition, demanding both strategic play and mental endurance.

Already, many professionals are focusing on the next significant Swiss PGA Tour event: The Memorial Olivier Barras will be held in Crans-Montana from June 24th to 26th – also serving as an OMEGA MASTERS qualifier. This event offers a chance to qualify for the prestigious Omega European Masters of the DP World Tour. The stage is set for a high-caliber field and intense days on the spectacular Golf-Club Crans-sur-Sierre course.
