The European PGA Alliance Congress 2025

News

24. November 2025

In the spirit of collaboration and to further the game of golf

This November, the 3rd Annual Congress of the European PGA Alliance (EPGAA) took place in Antalya, Turkey, bringing together PGAs from across the continent to collaborate, exchange knowledge and continue strengthening the role of PGA Professionals in developing the game of golf.

Formed in 2023, the EPGAA was established through the shared vision of the PGA of Sweden and PGA of Germany, recognising the need for a cooperative Alliance built on independent sovereign PGA organisations. Its mission is to position National PGAs and their Members as the game’s most valuable asset in their respective markets.

The 2025 Congress agenda focused strongly on education, governance, strategic brand alignment and working collaboratively to address emerging challenges and opportunities for PGA Professionals across Europe.

On Day 1, delegates shared updates on their biggest recent successes and current challenges, followed by an in-depth discussion of the EPGAA education audit

Day 2 centred on strategic brand management, PGA standards, the role of AI within PGA operations and commercial development, including reports from dedicated working groups

On Day 3, the programme featured sessions on cooperation with national federations, the link between federations and education, and a presentation by Grant Moir of The R&A. The final session included updates from the PGA World Alliance, a Ryder Cup development briefing and the election of the Governing Committee

Throughout the Congress, delegates also had opportunities to connect informally, strengthening the trust and relationships that define the Alliance.

Gavin Healey, President of the Swiss PGA, added:
“This year’s Congress once again demonstrated the strength of our community. The exchange of ideas, the openness of discussion and the shared vision among PGAs show how dedicated we all are to advancing this sport. Our PGA Professionals are the driving force behind golf in Europe, and the Congress highlights just how important their role is.”

The EPGAA will continue its collaborative work throughout the coming year, with all member PGAs committed to supporting each other and elevating the role of PGA Professionals across Europe.
