Kim Métraux Narrowly Misses Victory

Swiss golfer Kim Métraux once again came close to claiming a win on the Ladies European Tour (LET), finishing in a tie for fourth at the PIF London Championship — one of the most lucrative tournaments on the LET outside of the Majors. Competing at the Centurion Club in London, the 30-year-old from Vaud secured her second top-five finish of the year. It was without doubt her most significant result of the season, as several LPGA Tour players were in the field.

Paired with fellow Swiss player Chiara Tamburlini for Sunday’s final round, Métraux made a blazing start with four birdies in her first six holes, briefly taking the lead. However, her momentum slowed as the round progressed, with putting proving especially challenging. Still, she closed in style, sinking a spectacular eagle on the 18th hole to climb back into the top five. She ultimately finished at seven under par, three shots behind the winner, Germany’s Laura Fünfstück.

With this strong performance, Métraux rises to 37th place in the LET Order of Merit, while Tamburlini remains 8th. The 25-year-old from St. Gallen finished 19th in London at three under par, marking her 10th top-20 result of the season.

HotelPlanner Tour: Beni Rusch Cracks the Top Five in Ireland

Benjamin Rusch also enjoyed a standout performance, securing a top-five finish at the Irish Challenge on the HotelPlanner Tour. Playing at Killeen Castle Golf Club, the 26-year-old from Thurgau fired a sensational final-round 66 (-6) on Sunday, vaulting 39 places up the leaderboard. His total score of five under par earned him a share of fifth place.

So far in the 2025 season, Rusch has recorded two top-five and five top-15 finishes, further cementing his status as one of Switzerland’s most consistent performers on tour.
