Beni Rusch has fulfilled his dream and secured his playing rights on the DP World Tour. Although he was a long way behind after the first two days of the final stage of the Qualifying School in Spain with a score of +1, Rusch showed an impressive improvement. Solid golf in the following rounds with scores of -3, -4, -4 and -5 led to an overall score of -15, which put him in 17th place and secured him full eligibility for the DP World Tour 2024. This marks the first time in over 20 years that Switzerland will been represented by two players (Beni Rusch and Joel Girrbach) on the highest European tour.

Despite this pleasing result, his participation on the DP World Tour is still open as he is suffering from hip problems. Rusch will consult with his doctor to make a wise decision. There is a possibility that he will undergo an operation and therefore have to sit out the coming season. In this case, however, he could make use of a medical exemption to retain his playing rights for the DP World Tour 2024-2025.

However, the uncertainty surrounding his health does not affect Beni's mood. He sees this promotion as a significant step forward in his career and a valuable second chance. Whether he will make his debut on the DP World Tour immediately or next year will depend on a joint decision with his doctor.

Ronan Kleu also made the cut after the fourth round and thus secured the right to play on the 2024 Challenge Tour.
