Swiss Professional Golfers Association (Swiss PGA)
The Swiss PGA is the governing body for golf professionals in Switzerland. Founded in 1943 under the name "L'Association Suisse des Professeurs de Golf" the association now boasts more than 380 members.
The main objectives of the association are:
- to support and advise the members,
- to provide an education to produce qualified golf professionals,
- to provide further education,
- the organisation of tournaments and championships for professionals
Together with Swiss Golf, the Independent Swiss Golf Association (ASGI) and the Migros Golf Parks, the Swiss PGA takes an active role in the development of the game of golf and the new talent in Switzerland.


The membership consists on the one hand of well educated and qualified golf teachers and on the other hand of professional golfers competing in national and international tournaments.
Our members have regular contact with over 90'000 golfers at over 90 golf clubs in Switzerland. Whether as a golf coach, pro shop manager or golf director, our members are the ambassadors of the game of golf. Through their daily activites they make a huge contribution in the development and attractiveness of the game of golf in Switzerland.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
We lead our association according to the following principles and goals:
- The Swiss PGA is the leading service orientated association of the golf professionals in Switzerland
- The Swiss PGA represents its members as contractor, stakeholder and organiser
- We want to assist, support, develop and educate our teaching and playing members on their way to becoming "Best Professional“
- The Swiss PGA is a part of the whole Swiss golf scene. The Swiss PGA wants to contribute to the further development of the game of golf as a whole. This can only be effective in network and cooperation with the other golfing assocations and federations
- The Swiss PGA is a brand with the obligation to quality, professionalism and expert advice to the highest level
- The Swiss PGA is the embodiment of the "Spirit of the Game" and undertakes its duties with responsibilty and passion
The Swiss PGA is proud that its 3 year education program is awarded with the "Gold Level" certificate (the highest quality level in Europe) by the umbrella association "Confederation of Professional Golf”.
Furthermore, the Swiss PGA organises six further education days, for which it invites internationally renowned speakers. The Swiss PGA strives to maintain a high level of continuing education for its members.
The Swiss PGA organizes the ASGI Swiss PGA Tour tournament series, as well as the Team Championship, the Swiss PGA Championship and the BMW Matchplay Championship.
The members of the Swiss PGA give everything to pass on their knowledge to all interrested amateurs, to help improve their games and to share their passion for the game.
