Swiss PGA Tour, Golfclub Markgräflerland
11.07.2023

The 2nd Swiss PGA Tournament was held from 3-4 July at the Markgräflerland Golf Club in Kandern. This was the 18th time that the Swiss PGA Tour had made a guest appearance on the beautiful golf course in the southern Black Forest. The Pro-Am and the two tournament rounds were played on an excellently prepared course. These top conditions spurred the participants to superb results. Rachel Thommen (Breitenloo) won the women's tournament ahead of Deliah Prescha (Holzhäusern) and Elena Bayard (Leuk). After a strong first round of 66 strokes, Franco Li Puma won the senior category ahead of Igor Brandstätter (Affoltern) and the stroke equals Tony Price (Riedisheim), Eric Aeschbach (Geneva) and Charles Goux (Gruyere). With 63 strokes (-9) in the second round, Jean-Luc Burnier (Pra Roman) equalled the course record and celebrated in the men's category. Daniel Gurtner (Hettlingen) and Gregori Baumann (Vesenaz) followed on the podium.

The Swiss PGA would like to express its sincere thanks to the Markgräflerland Golf Club under the management of Graham Currie, his team in the secretariat, the greenkeepers, the restaurant team and the members of the GC Markgräflerland. We look forward to the continued exemplary cooperation and to the anniversary event in the near future.
