This module is aimed at people who coach/train/want to coach athletes with intellectual disabilities in a sport. It covers the principles of the respective sport, i.e. dealing with athletes with intellectual disabilities, training and the rules for participating in Special Olympics Switzerland competitions.

Special Olympics Switzerland is committed to the appreciation of people with intellectual disabilities in sport and focusses on the specific training of sports coaches in order to achieve a higher quality of sports training. The course teaches the principles of sport with people with intellectual disabilities and introduces the Special Olympics competition system.
