The 3rd Swiss PGA tournament took place August 6 – 8 at Golfclub Erlen in Thurgau. The Pro-Am on Sunday, August 6th, was conducted in collaboration with Kinderdorf Pestalozzi, and all proceeds went to benefit the foundation. Both the Pro-Am and the two tournament rounds were played on an excellently prepared course.

The participants braved the challenging weather conditions on the first day of play and delivered an exciting second round with thrilling duels under beautiful weather. This resulted in three men finishing the tournament with the same score. After James Johnson and Justin Brink each birdied the first playoff hole, Jean-Luc Burnier, who shot a 2nd round of 65 (-6) to qualified for the playoff, had to bid farewell first. On the second playoff hole, the remaining two players missed the green with their second shot, but only James Johnson managed a chip and putt for par and victory. In the women category Clara Pietri won ahead of Deliah Prescha and Elena Bayard. Among the seniors, Franco Li Puma won his second consecutive tournament ahead of John Wilson, with Vivian Ross and Hassen Ben Othman finishing tied for third place.

The Swiss PGA would like to express its sincere thanks to the Golfclub Erlen under the management of Pipo Schödler, his team in the secretariat, the greenkeepers, the restaurant staff and the members of the Golfclub Erlen. The Erlen Golf Club once again proved its reputation as a venue for first-class tournaments.
