The first Swiss PGA Tour tournament of the 2023 season was held from 4-6 June at the Links Golf Resort in Leuk. This was the 20th time that the Swiss PGA Tour was hosted on the floor of the Valais. The Pro-Am and the two tournament rounds were played on an excellently prepared course. The high rough and the hard ground combined with fast and difficult greens posed a challenge to all pros. This was clearly reflected in the results. In the women's competition, local matador Fabienne Gamma (Leuk) won ahead of Deliah Prescha (Holzhäusern) and Elena Bayard (Leuk). In the seniors' race, Steve Rey (Crans-sur-Sierre) repeated his success from the previous year ahead of Jonathan Voyle (Pieterlen) and Lloyd Freeman (Rheinblick). In the men's event, Zeno Felder (Hünenberg) celebrated his first professional victory. Jean-Luc Burnier (Montreux) and Daniel Gurtner (Hettlingen), who also finished the tournament with under par, followed on the podium.
The Swiss PGA would like to express its sincere thanks to the Links Golf Resort Leuk under the management of Giusy Abatemarco, his team in the secretariat, the greenkeepers, the restaurant team and the GC Leuk and its members. We are looking forward to the continued exemplary cooperation and to the next 20 events.
