This year's first Swiss PGA Tour tournament took place at Links Leuk Golfresort where a Pro-Am was first played on Sunday, before the association members competed individually over two rounds on Monday and Tuesday in three categories.
In the women's category, Eva Baraschi took the lead in the first round with a comfortable 6 shot lead over first year apprentice Coline Linder. The player from Lausanne confirmed her lead in the second round with a score of 74 (+2) to win the tournament ahead of another first year apprentice, Deliah Prescha, who, thanks to a score of 76 (+4), moved up in the ranking and overtook Linder.
In the men's event, Luca Galliano started well with 67 (-5) in the first round, leading both Loris Schüpbach and Flavio Schneider by 3. In the second round, the player from Ticino returned a 74 (+2) allowing Schüpbach to win the tournament with a second round 68 (-4). Sasha Wortelboer, playing consistently over the two rounds for 71, 70 (-3), completed the podium, tied with Luca Galliano.
The best second round, a 67 (-5), was played by Steve Rey who gained 6 places on the field after a first round 76 (+4). The player from Valais took the senior title over Jérôme Rappard (T2 - 70, 75), who was leading with Marcus Knight (T4 - 70, 76) after the first round, and Boris Lah (T2) who improved upon his first round 75 with a second-round 70.
